This exhibition is a continuation of Claudia’s thesis project “Villas Pesqueras” and a sequel of the first exhibition in :Pública Espacio.
Organized by the Foundation for the Architecture of Puerto Rico, this exhibition seeks to provide a space to reflect and raise awarness of the historic, and present state of local coastal communities. Comprising both parts of the research project, the exhibition features the short documentary film “Villas Pesqueras” and the architectural proposal “Mercado Salado”–a new typology designed for the fishing village of Punta Santiago in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
For this exhibition, three plywood pieces were designed and fabricated to display the archival material, screen the film and exhibit the architectural floor plans of the proposal. Illustration and drawing boards were printed and laminated on PVC.
This exhibition took place from November 2023 through January 2024 at the Foundation for the Architecture of Puerto Rico in Santurce, Puerto Rico. This exhibition was possible with the sponsorship of Big Ass Fans PR.
