The exhibition “Villas Pesqueras” is one of many achievements that stems from Claudia’s Master’s thesis. This exhibition was created as an effort to divulge the research project and provide a space to open a discussion on the current state of local fishing communities.
In this project, the search of archival material led to use film as a research method in architecture, which led to produce the award-winning short documentary  film “Villas Pesqueras”.
The exhibition is a documentation of Puerto Rican coastal culture, where an installation of archive material and exploration through the audiovisual piece was implemented. This medium allows us to travel to the past, understand and question the present, to reflect on the future of Puerto Rican coastal communities.
