Coastal cities, in addition to managing countless urban situations, have the task and pleasure of working with water. Whether sea or ocean, these cities take on the task of incorporating and creating connections with the great body of water and the city. Havana, Cuba is an excellent example of this because its famous boardwalk ties the city and the sea, highlighting its importance in its history, economy, and culture. The study of Havana shows that although "the sea is not seen, it is always sensed".
